Today, with multiple locations across Midtown Manhattan and Long Island City, we continue to be a trusted part of the neighborhoods we serve, supporting pets and the families who love them through every stage of life.
For trusted care while you are away, East Side Animal Hospital offers dog boarding and doggie daycare in a safe, supervised environment. Dogs enjoy access to an outdoor space for off-leash play and socialization, while cats are cared for in a calm, comfortable setting designed for their needs. Whether it is a weekend trip or an extended stay, our team ensures your pet is monitored with the same level of attention and care they receive as patients.
Our grooming services are available at both East Side Animal Hospital and LIC Veterinary Center, providing everything from bathing and brushing to nail trims and full haircuts. Each appointment is one-on-one and focused on comfort, safety, and a low-stress experience tailored to your pet’s needs.
We are also experienced in caring for anxious or sensitive pets, using Fear Free-inspired handling techniques and positive reinforcement to help reduce stress during visits. When appropriate, our veterinarians may recommend mild calming support to help make appointments or travel more comfortable for your pet.
Late Arrival:
We do our best to see every patient at their scheduled appointment time in order to respect your time and maintain a smooth flow of care throughout the day. We kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes early for your visit.
If you are running late, we will always do our best to accommodate you. Depending on the schedule and current patient needs, we may still be able to see your pet or offer a drop-off appointment for the doctor to examine them when time becomes available later in the day. However, if you arrive 15 minutes late or more, we may need to reschedule your appointment for another time or day.
We understand that plans can change, and we appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Early cancellation allows us to offer that time to another pet in need of care.
For specialty services, a deposit is required to reserve your appointment. These deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or in the event of a no-show. Because our traveling specialists reserve time specifically for your pet, they are compensated regardless of attendance unless we are notified in advance.
