Dr. Keith Manning
DVM - Owner / Direction of LIC
Dr. Keith Manning is the medical director of NYC Veterinary Group.
When asked what inspired him to become a veterinarian, Dr. Manning said it was his first dog, Happy. “Her unbridled love and playfulness always moved me,” he said. “Now that I’m a veterinarian, I enjoy being able to improve a pet’s health and quality of life so both pet owner and pet can enjoy their lives together more.”
A native of Westchester, New York, Dr. Manning attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook for his undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Araneta University College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Manning is a member of the Board of Directors for Bideawee, one of the oldest humane societies in the United States. He is also a member of the New York State and New York City Veterinary Medical Associations, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the Advisory Board of the Veterinary Technician Program at LaGuardia Community College. Although he is no longer the president of New York Save, he is still involved in the organization. Additionally, Dr. Manning is USDA-accredited and certified to fill out international travel health certificates. His areas of professional interest include wellness care, geriatrics, and pain management.
Dr. Manning was named Veterinarian of the Year in 1998 by the NYC Veterinary Medical Association.
Pets: Dr. Manning has two dogs. Casey, a mini goldendoodle, who is the mascot of our veterinary care group, and Charlie, a havanese.
Special interests: Dr. Manning and his wife, Enid, have a daughter and the three of them enjoy traveling together. Dr. Manning’s hobbies include tennis, spin, theater, dining out, and reading.
Dr. Erin Taylor Kulick
DVM
Dr. Kulick grew up in a small town in the mountains of Virginia where she was surrounded by animals: Pets, farm animals, and wildlife. She began volunteering at a mixed animal practice at 12 and soon realized that veterinary medicine was her calling.
“I’m fortunate to have a career where I enjoy going to work every day,” says Dr. Kulick. “I can use the skills I’ve acquired over the years to improve the health of animals, thus strengthening the human-animal bond, which in turn improves the lives of people in my community.”
Dr. Kulick attended Roanoke College where she majored in biology. She then attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City. Her professional interests include internal medicine, geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and general veterinary medicine. Dr. Kulick is USDA certified to complete international travel health certificates.
During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Dr. Kulick had the opportunity to volunteer with the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team (NYC VET). This organization worked with assorted groups and organizations to provide mobile vet care, pet food, and emergency boarding to Hurricane Sandy victims. Dr. Kulick was also involved with intake and care of pets at the emergency boarding facility in Brooklyn after Hurricane Sandy.
Special interests: Dr. Kulick lives with her husband, Scott, a jazz musician, and their son. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and basketball, and performs in the Queer Urban Orchestra, a community orchestra in New York City.
Dr. Shelby L. Freda
VMD
Dr. Freda is a general practitioner from Short Hills, New Jersey.
When asked about her early veterinary influences, Dr. Freda says she has been fascinated by animals as far back as she can remember. “At one point, I brought home multiple stray cats from my neighborhood and hid them in our basement, hoping my parents wouldn’t notice, but they did, of course”.
Now that she’s a veterinarian in New York, Dr. Freda says she gains great satisfaction from improving the lives of people by caring for the pets that bring them so much unconditional love and loyalty.
Dr. Freda graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time in college, she started the university’s pre-veterinary club. She then enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Veterinary Medical Doctorate. Dr. Freda is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State and New York City Veterinary Medical Associations.
Her professional interests include internal medicine and dermatology. She has been published in the veterinary reference text Canine and Feline Gastroenterology, providing her expertise for an article on GI neoplasia. Dr. Freda is USDA certified to complete international travel health certificates.
Pets: Dr. Freda considers everyone of her patients as her own.
Special interests: Outside of work, Dr. Freda enjoys biking, rollerblading, skiing, and golf.
Dr. Sayaka Hosomi
DVM
Dr. Sayaka Hosomi received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 after completing her clinical training at the University of Missouri. Following graduation, she completed additional clinical training at the Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado, rotating through various specialties including emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery and oncology. It was during this time she met the love of her life, Leonard, a maltipoo she helped rescue after being struck by a car.
Upon completion of her training, Dr. Hosomi moved back to Westchester, NY, to serve as a General Practitioner at a local animal hospital. After these rewarding experiences, Dr. Hosomi decided to move to the city and is now proud to be part of the NYC Vet Group. When Dr. Hosomi is not in the office, she enjoys long hikes with Leonard, traveling, baking, and of course, eating.
Dr. Adam Sebag
DVM
Dr. Adam Sebag joined the clinical team at NYC Veterinary Group in April 2020.
Dr. Sebag attended Binghamton University (State University of New York) for his undergraduate studies where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where he earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, and completed his clinical training at University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN.
A New York City native, Dr. Sebag grew up in Bayside, Queens and wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as he could remember. Prior to veterinary school, he gained his early footing in the veterinary field by working as a technician/assistant at a general practice in Manhattan and the world-renowned Animal Medical Center.
Dr. Sebag is continually inspired by the human-animal bond and enjoys educating owners about preventative medicine and the health of their pets. His professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology and surgery.
Dr. Sebag is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is USDA accredited to complete international travel health certificates.
Dr. Sebag enjoys tennis, seeing/experiencing live music, traveling the world and spending time with his dog Watson, a mixed breed adopted from St. Kitts. As an island native, it’s no surprise Watson enjoys playing fetch, running on the beach and eating ice cubes, even in the winter.

Dr. Isadora Djuric
DVM
Dr. Djuric was born in Chicago, Illinois but has moved with her family to Serbia at the age of 4 months where she was raised. From a very young age, she started shadowing her grandfather who was a farm animal veterinarian and realized that she wants to work with animals for the rest of her life. After obtaining a DVM degree from the ‘Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’ at the University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2014 she felt the need to pursue her career overseas.
Initially, Dr.Djuric worked as a technician at our very own ‘NYC Veterinary Group’ where she upgraded her hands-on skills and learned from the best vets. After a series of rigorous tests that were a part of the AVMA’s EVFVG program for foreign veterinary graduates she was granted the certificate to practice in the US. Dr.Djuric currently resides in Astoria, Queens with her husband, 5yr old staffy mix , Duchess and 8 yr old bearded dragon , Gizmo. She works as a Small Animal Veterinarian in all three of our locations. In her spare time, she can be found enjoying a long run with her doggo and exploring foods from all over the world.
Dr. Beatriz Solivan
DVM
Dr. Solivan was born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico. Growing up she had dogs, birds, guinea pigs and rabbits but her favorites were her dogs. She graduated from Ross University in Saint Kitts and completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State.
Since she was 15 years old, she’s had a dream of living in New York City. She’s always been enamored by the life, culture and vibrancy of the city and all it offers.
She started her veterinary career in 2012 and it’s been her dream since she was a child. Her three dogs, Betovenesha, Isabella and Nala are her joy. During her free time she likes to visit the beach, watch netflix, try new restaurants and sing.

Dr. Jane Kosovsky
DVM - Surgeon
Dr. Kosovsky has over 25 years of experience in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her internship and Surgical Residency here in New York City at the Animal Medical Center. Dr. Kosovsky is an amazing surgeon with meticulous skills.
Dr. Patrick Hopper
DVM, DIPL, ACVIM
Dr. Hopper graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and specializes in internal medicine. He is an accomplished ultrasonographer and internist and performs echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasounds, biopsies and endoscopic examinations.
Dr. Jean-Paul Petrie
DVM, DACVIM - Cardiology Veterinary Specialist
Dr. Petrie is a clinical cardiologist seeing patients at all 3 of our locations. He completed his DVM degree at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1994. Following veterinary school, he completed his internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists, Southfield, Michigan. Prior to completing his residency he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiac physiology and interventional cardiology at the Robarts Research Institute, University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Petrie then completed his residency in veterinary cardiology at The Animal Medical Center in New York. He has been board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Cardiology since 1999. Prior to his current position, he was a cardiologist in the Department of Medicine at The Animal Medical Centerfor many years.

Ricardo P.
Licensed Veterinary Technician & Manager
Ricardo Pacova is East Side Animal Hospital’s Practice Manager. He is also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Ricardo joined our team in October, 2014 and brings over ten years of experience in the animal care field to the position. He is responsible for performing administrative duties and working with the veterinary care team to help provide excellent care to our patients and clients. Ricardo has an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.
“The best thing about this profession,” says Ricardo, “is knowing you’ve made a difference for animals. East Side is also a rewarding place to work. Our team members enjoy their jobs and as the practice’s manager, I take great pride in the respectful, fulfilling career opportunities we’ve provided everyone.”
At home, Ricardo has a cat named Chelsea and two beautiful two-legged house companions, his adored children. He spends his free time with the entire bunch trying new gastronomical cultures, traveling, and watching movies.

Practice Manager, Melissa Mineo-De Martino has been with NYC Vet Group for almost 8 years, joining our team in Fall 2014. Not only does Melissa assist Dr. Manning and Ricardo with day to day operations, but she also supervises the staff at all three NYC Vet Group locations. She is an incredible resource to the team and is even a licensed groomer!

Melissa and her wife live in Long Island City with their three rescue animals: chihuahuas Petey and Lolita and tortie cat Piccolo. When she’s not in the clinic or meeting with clients and partners, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Cecilia
Cecilia’s love for animals started when she was just a little girl. She grew up on a farm helping to care for large animals and, of course, dogs and cats too. This started a life long dedication to animals. She has become an extraordinary veterinary technician with over 17 years of experience. She graduated LaGuardia Community College earning a degree in Veterinary Technology and then going on to earn a bachelor degree in science from Queens College. She is passionate about veterinary medicine and strives to maintain a high standard of care. She says, ”I love taking care of our clients and always give my best to help every single pet. I am proud to be part of the LIC Vet Center family and to serve our community.” Outside of work she is a wife and a proud mother of 3 children and 3 rescued senior dogs. You might see her running through Vernon Blvd as she enjoys running as an exercise.
Estella
As a Veterinary Nurse for Long Island City Veterinary Center, Estella joined our team in November of 2015. Some of her responsibilities include helping to monitor patients during surgical and dental procedures, intaking patients, relaying medical history to our veterinarians, venipuncture, IV-catheter placement, and much more. She brings with her leadership, dedication, and confidence each day. Estella has been working in the veterinary field for over 12 years. She has prior experience working with private practice veterinary hospitals, as well as working with farm animals. In her spare time, Estella like running, biking, reading, photography, and trying new restaurants. She also loves to spend time with her loving daughter, and their two orange cats named Mr. Walnuts and Mr. Pickles Bowie.
Wendy
Wendy started volunteering at LIC Vet Center while still attending LaGuardia Community College working towards her veterinary technology degree. She’s been with us for several years now and has grown to be part of the LIC family as well as a strong and caring veterinary technician. Growing up she’s always loved animals. She says “I find it very rewarding to care for animals and nurse the sick back to health.” Even though she loves all animals, she has a special place in her heart for… CATS! In her free time, she volunteers with Anjellicle Cat Rescue. She rescues and fosters many cats in hopes to find them permanent loving homes. She’s a cat whisperer with a big heart.
Diego
Diego is a full-time veterinary technician at LIC Vet Center. Some of his responsibilities include patient care, monitoring sedated patients, performing x-rays, and various maintenance repairs. Diego refers to LIC Veterinary Center as a “home run by family.” He loves working with the extraordinary staff and the amazing clients and patients each day. At home, Diego cares for his five year old Bearded Dragon named Gizmo. In his free time, Diego enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new breweries.
Nancy
Nancy was born and raised in the Bronx. She attended Christopher Columbus H.S. and then Monroe College. In 1999, she started working at the Humane Society of New York, quickly fell in love with the profession, and applied for a full time position as a technician with East Side Animal Hospital. She’s been with our practice for more than 18 years and counting! Nancy owns a 7 year old Chihuahua named Layla, a 9 year old Miniature Pinscher named Tiffany, and a 17 year old (!!!) Domestic Shorthaired Cat named Spooky. She is also a happy companion to a rescued pigeon which she outfits with bird diapers and has free reign of the house. Nancy enjoys talking to clients about the long term healthcare of their pets. She is big advocate for Nexgard and Heartgard, two safe, chewable medications that protect against fleas and Heartworms respectively. In her spare time, Nancy loves gardening, barbecuing, and enjoying time in her backyard pool. Her latest project is a backyard greenhouse! In the wintertime, she and her family convert the backyard fire pit to a S’mores roasting center of fun!
Isu
Isu is a veterinary assistant with over 20 years experience. We were fortunate to have her join our team in 2017. She is thorough and compassionate. She “loves taking care of sick pets and makes it her goal to make sure they are well taken care of when under our care.“ She also has a heart of gold and is constantly rescuing stray cats. She nurses these strays back to health, rehabilitates them, and adopts them out. In her spare time, she is an avid cyclist. She has participated in many races. This Bronx native has two dogs, Suki and Maya, along with three cats, Bam Bam, Pebbles, and Pee Wee.

Brittney
Brittney has years of experience as a veterinary receptionist and loves the fact that she gets to help save lives everyday. She is always smiling and that smile even comes through on the phone. That’s how you will know you are speaking to Brittney. Brittney is originally from Los Angeles but has been in NYC for over 5 years. She loves going out with friends, reading about wildlife and watching wildlife documentaries. She has a big space in her heart for animals considering she became a vegetarian when she was only 15 years old.
